A California Story: From Union Worker to Small Business Owner

My Journey to Service

My story isn't one of political ambition. It's a story of hard work, family, and a deep love for the community I call home. I was born in Buffalo, New York, into a working-class family where the values of self-reliance and determination were instilled in me from a young age. We weren't given much, but we were taught that with hard work, anything was possible.

My journey brought me to California, where I started my career as a union heavy equipment operator. I was proud to be part of the labor force that built our state, and I learned firsthand the importance of a good-paying job and the dignity of hard work. But I also saw how government regulations and red tape could make it harder for working families to get by.

Building a Business, Creating Jobs

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, I decided to take a risk and start my own business. For over 20 years, I've been the owner of Titan Medical, a medical device company right here in our community. We've provided good jobs, contributed to our local economy, and helped countless patients with innovative medical solutions. Running a small business in California has taught me what it takes to balance a budget, navigate complex regulations, and make payroll every week. It's a perspective that's sorely missing in Sacramento.

A Personal Fight for Our Future

My decision to run for State Assembly wasn't just about politics; it was personal. In November 2021, my family was shattered when I lost my brother to a fentanyl overdose. It was a devastating loss that opened my eyes to the silent epidemic that is destroying families across our state. I knew then that I couldn't sit on the sidelines any longer. I had to fight for a California where our children are safe, our communities are strong, and our government is accountable.

Our Life in the Conejo Valley

For over two decades, my wife, Donna, and I have called the Conejo Valley home. We love this community, and we're proud to be part of its fabric. When I'm not running my business or on the campaign trail, you can find me spending time with Donna and our cat, Boo, enjoying the natural beauty of our district, or practicing martial arts—a discipline that has taught me focus, perseverance, and respect.

I'm not a politician. I'm a husband, a small business owner, a neighbor, and a concerned citizen who believes we can do better. I'm running for State Assembly to be your voice in Sacramento and to fight for the common-sense solutions we need to build a better California for all of us.
